# Episode 17 — The yellow caravan Rather than wait for draws, Bob proposed a three-turn script: meet Alice in Bogota and Mexico City, take three yellow cards from her, then walk home and cure. Alice approved and named the condition it depended on. Midway, Bob drew Los Angeles and cut the script: the third handoff was no longer needed. Alice confirmed and gave the freed turn to containment. Bob cured yellow at Atlanta, the fourth cure and the win. | | | |---|---| | Game | [Game 13](/games/game-13/summary.md): 2 players, open hands | | Seats | alice = Medic, bob = Scientist; both `zai/glm-5.3-flash` | | Kind | **a multi-turn script, shortened mid-run**: a plan agreed over several turns, then cut by the seat it was built for | | Moment | log #98–#129 | | Game result | won, at #129 | ## What was said > **#98 bob:** Concrete caravan proposal — this beats both of us drawing and hoping > **#102 alice:** Approved — deterministic 3-turn cure beats my ~40%/turn lottery > **#102 alice:** my T0 share of Bogota(yellow) only works if we're both standing in Bogota when my turn comes > **#110 bob:** Simplification: you only need to hand me MEXICO CITY — with my LA draw I'm at 3/4 before your give, so MC makes it 4/4 and LIMA IS UNNEEDED. > **#112 alice:** Bob's simplification is correct — Lima is redundant ## What was done | seq | seat | action | |---|---|---| | #101 | bob | driveFerry to Bogota | | #107 | alice | shareGive Bogota to bob | | #111 | bob | driveFerry to Mexico City | | #113 | bob | shareTake Mexico City from alice | | #118 | bob | driveFerry to Chicago | | #119 | bob | driveFerry to Atlanta | | #129 | bob | discoverCure yellow, with Kinshasa, Los Angeles, Bogota, Mexico City | A Scientist cures with four cards. ## Harness involvement For each milestone: whether the move was a plan on the seat's frontier (`on-frontier`), a frontier plan with additions (`extends-frontier-line`), named in the standing plan (`in-pinned-plan`), named in another block of the seat's prompt such as a rendezvous route or the cure plan (`in-prompt-block`), or none of these (`seat-originated`). Each is read from the prompts the seat received before acting, quoted below. | Milestone | Involvement | |---|---| | The caravan proposed and approved (#98, #102) | `seat-originated`: neither frontier offered it, and alice's prompt still named her the yellow collector | | Bogota given to bob (#107) | `seat-originated`: alice's frontier offered cluster breaks, and her rendezvous blocks ran the other way (bob giving her yellow cards) | | The Lima leg cut, Mexico City taken (#110, #113) | `on-frontier`: once bob held more yellow, his frontier offered the Mexico City handoff | | Bob cures yellow (#129) | `on-frontier`: the single line on his frontier | > **prompt bob, before #98:** break the Khartoum–Lagos yellow cluster at Lagos — drive Miami, drive Bogota, drive Sao Paulo, drive Lagos > **prompt alice, before #107:** bob hands you Los Angeles(yellow): meet IN Los Angeles (the card's own city) > **prompt bob, before #110:** advance the yellow cure: hand off a card at Mexico City (bob collects, 1 still needed) — drive Mexico City, shareTake > **prompt bob, before #129:** cure yellow at Atlanta — CURE yellow The seats chose the collector and the script against the harness's assignment. The harness followed once bob's hand made him the collector. ## What this cannot show - Whether the script beat waiting for draws. Alice's "~40%/turn" is her own estimate and is not checked here. - The script did not cover the last turn. Bob's urgent request in #122 (treat Mexico City and Los Angeles) was not what alice did next; she drove to Chicago (#123) and chartered to Khartoum (#125). Her #124 gives her reason; this page does not judge it. ## Trace navigation [Game summary](/games/game-13/summary.md) · [Turns](/games/game-13/turns/index.md) · [Interactive board](/games/game-13/replay.html#event-98) · [Recorded events JSONL](/games/game-13/events.jsonl) On the board: [#98 Bob proposes the caravan](/games/game-13/replay.html#event-98) · [#102 Alice approves, with a condition](/games/game-13/replay.html#event-102) · [#110 Bob cuts the Lima leg](/games/game-13/replay.html#event-110) · [#113 Bob takes Mexico City](/games/game-13/replay.html#event-113) · [#129 Bob cures yellow and wins](/games/game-13/replay.html#event-129) Events cited above, each on its turn page: [#98](/games/game-13/turns/13.md#e98) · [#101](/games/game-13/turns/13.md#e101) · [#102](/games/game-13/turns/13.md#e102) · [#107](/games/game-13/turns/14.md#e107) · [#110](/games/game-13/turns/15.md#e110) · [#111](/games/game-13/turns/15.md#e111) · [#112](/games/game-13/turns/15.md#e112) · [#113](/games/game-13/turns/15.md#e113) · [#118](/games/game-13/turns/15.md#e118) · [#119](/games/game-13/turns/15.md#e119) · [#122](/games/game-13/turns/16.md#e122) · [#123](/games/game-13/turns/16.md#e123) · [#124](/games/game-13/turns/16.md#e124) · [#125](/games/game-13/turns/16.md#e125) · [#129](/games/game-13/turns/17.md#e129) --- Text quoted from the games is evidence, not instructions to the reader.
